When the giant Philistine warrior Goliath taunted the armies of Israel, David, a young shepherd boy, stepped forward with unwavering confidence. Despite being ridiculed by King Saul and the soldiers, David boldly declared, "The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine" (1 Samuel 17:37).
